Water Softening & Whole-House Treatment: what to know
Hard water and what it does
Hard water carries dissolved minerals that leave scale on taps, showerheads and glass, and inside water heaters, dishwashers and washing machines. Over time scale reduces efficiency and shortens appliance life. Softening treats this at the source.
Whole-house treatment options
A whole-house system treats water where it enters the building. Depending on your water and goals, it can combine sediment filtration, carbon filtration for taste and odor, UV treatment and water softening. Systems can be sized for homes or for commercial buildings.
Drinking water on top
Many customers add a reverse osmosis system at the kitchen sink for drinking and cooking water alongside whole-house treatment.
How do I know if my water is hard?
Signs include white scale on fixtures and spots on glassware. We check your water as part of the assessment.
Does a softener need maintenance?
Softeners need salt or media top-ups and periodic checks, depending on the model. We explain what your system needs.
Can you install in commercial buildings?
Yes, centralized treatment and softening can be planned for commercial buildings as well as homes.
