Residential: what to know

Filtered water at home without the bottles

Many households buy cases of bottled water for drinking and cooking. A filtered drinking water system in the kitchen, such as reverse osmosis or a countertop dispenser, gives filtered water from the tap instead, without carrying or storing bottles.

Treating the water for the whole house

Hard water leaves scale on fixtures, shower glass and inside water heaters and appliances. Whole-house filtration, UV treatment and water softening treat water where it enters the home, protecting plumbing and appliances and improving water for showers and laundry as well as drinking.

What happens at a home visit

We look at your incoming water, where the main line enters, available space for equipment and what you want to improve, such as taste, scale or both. You then receive a recommendation and a written quote; nothing is installed until you agree.

Common questions
Do I need a water softener or a filter?

A softener deals with hardness (scale), while filtration deals with taste, odor and sediment. Many homes benefit from both. We recommend a system after looking at your water and goals.

Where is a reverse osmosis system installed?

Usually under the kitchen sink, with its own drinking water faucet. We confirm space and connections during the visit.
